Old indigenous breeding strain originated in the central Poland. Pekin P-33 strain originates from breeding material maintained at the Pawlowice Experimental Station and then in Maly Klincz, where it was crossed with ducks imported from the Netherlands. Subsequently ducks were transferred to Borowy Mlyn farm. Due to the farm liquidation, a breeding flock consisting of 159 drakes and 541 ducks was transferred to Waterfowl Experimental Station Dworzyska in May 1978.
