A physical cellular phenotype observed in the vegetative growth phase of the life cycle in which a cell has a nucleus in an abnormal location. The normal location of a single nucleus is at the midpoint of the long axis of the cell (during mitotic telophase, daughter nuclei normally move away from the cell division site).
